Everyone on this planet wants to do something meaningful in life. But what is meaningful? The answer, in most cases is to find something you're passionate about and make it your "meaningful". But real life experience suggests that finding your passion is the hardest thing to do. People change job after job, interest after interest but they don't find their passion. So, how is a large community of people functioning if it's not able to find its passion and is still appearing to do something meaningful? How are some people troubled because they're not happy about not finding their passion and at the same time some people are extremely happy (on the surface at least)? Is being better at faking your own mental status, the answer? Or after a certain point in time, people really stop thinking about "meaningful".
It is a scientifically proven fact that your level of enthusiasm gets lower and lower with age. The enthusiasm that you had in college is not the same now when you're working to earn your living. Some might argue that it takes a different form with time but being at a stage where you have to provide for your family, really kills your will to do the meaningful, unless of course, you've found your passion.
And let's say that you do find your “passion”, but for how long can someone go on repeating the same thing, doing the same job again and again? That means you'll be forced to find some other “passion” all over again. Isn't it a bit paradoxical?

I think passion is something that really makes you happy. Like maybe singing for your own self, helping the parsimonious, or maybe just talking to your own sub conscious because passion, for now, has no single definition.

DeleteBoth ways it is true... I hv seen ppl doing the same job for years and on the other side i hv also seen ppl changing their job again and again. Out of two U will never know in which category u fall until u achieve your passion, current passion i shud say. When u achieve ur current passion then after few years u may get bored of it and if you're getting bored then u may think this is not ur true passion and then you'll go for a new search then u r graph of last passion goes down.

Legitimate stem cell researchers find themselves lumped in with bogus clinics. So you can understand why a documentary series titled “The Healthcare Revolution,” which is partially funded by a network of clinics that are hawking unproven therapies and are under fire from the Food and Drug Administration, has created an uproar among academic researchers.
As many as a dozen legitimate scientists have demanded the removal of interviews with them featured in the documentaries. Several say they were misled into lending their credibility to a project that promotes treatments that are scientifically unproven and could be dangerous. They were led to believe that they would be participating in a project about legitimate scientific progress in the field, complete with sober cautions that much of this work is still in its infancy.
